I went to Linny's for dinner last night. I was impressed with the ambiance. Very chic restaurant with the decor and serving staffs clothes displaying a 50s vibe.

I would describe the food as Jewish steakhouse. To drink I ordered an Old Fashioned which was very good. As for the food, started with the Challah Service which was excellent. Warm pillowy bread with a nice buttery taste. Also started with the Linny's House Salad. It was nice and fresh with a light vinaigrette dressing. The bulgar added an interesting crunchy texture to counterbalance the soft lettuce leaves.

For mains I had the Pastrami and Lamb Neck. The pastrami was the star of the meal. It was incredibly tender and flavourful. The grainy mustard it came with was nice and rich with a little bit of a kick. May have been the best mustard I have ever had. The lamb neck was a bit disappointing. Although flavourful, it wasn't particularly tender and it was very hard to cut away the meat because it came on a large bone with multiple crevices. I would pass on the lamb and try one of their steaks next time.
